## Date: Dec 18, 2021 Subject: Hello from Bennu aka Roy E Hi, Long time listener that fell off for a bit when I wandered away from aviation. Subscribed again and figured I ought to help out a bit. In case you're wondering about the odd name, Bennu is an online name I picked out for games. I picked out the obscure Egytian god Bennu associated with the heron and Ra. Then about a week later NASA picked the same name for an asteroid that just might hit Earth some day. I'd already started supporting a Star Citizen youtuber via Patreon, so I added you guys to that account. My main reason for writing is Tucker Gott and his Youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCASjdyu0y8XQ9qJnqxsKHnQ I really want to like the guy and his PPC adventures... but he does a bunch of dangerous stuff, like flying through arches:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=unUFdJVTg0Y , BASE jumping from a truck on a bridge: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TUvDB0uRs1M , getting a can from someone on a jet ski while flying next to them: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MEVb9M66Jv0 , flying under bridges: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B-cLqaGCFY0 And so on. He claims that everything he does is legal. And he has been reported to the FAA numerous times. He even mentions in his current video that one of his next two is all about a current report and how it was dismissed. So here's the question: Does the FAR (91.119?) for " aircraft may not be operated closer than 500 feet to any person, vessel, vehicle, or structure." not apply since he's an ultralight and not an aircraft per part 103? If he's technically correct for those instances, is he perhaps in trouble for breaking part 103 by "overflying populated areas" in other videos where he flies to various fast-food restaurants like so: https://youtu.be/7I8h1NI0RZM?t=529 I can totally understand if this isn't something you guys want to talk about or if it just doesn't make good radio.. Thanks for all the memories, Roy E aka Bennu
