Skynet is Closer to Reality

Guys check this out - http://diydrones.com/

You can build drones out of these robotics parts. They said somewhere on the site they have drones that can follow you and record it on camera. This is a follow up to the comment on UCAP #291.

Is this Considered an OFLOTW??

I just came across this airport in Scotland - Barra Airport. The airport has no paved or identified runways - they use the beach. To the best of me knowledge they are the only place in the world to run scheduled flights in this manner. I guess they could have a saying - "Barra Airport - where l...

Re: How long to solo? How long to PP/SEL?

I got my license in 2008. I soloed in the fall of 2007 after 4 or 5 hours. I recieved my PPL at 35 hours. Re: Episode #270 Charlie

Champguy, definately a lesson learned on this one after I had time to reflect over the next few days - needless to say I won't be riding with that instructor anytime soon.

Episode #270 Charlie

Jack, Jeb, Dave - Just listened to 270-C. One comment I do have about the loads in the LSA's is that even though the limitation is 1320 lbs, this doesn't mean the aircraft can't do more already. I fly on occasion the Cessna Skycatcher. On my checkout ride I was running the W&B and realized we we...

Re: Local pilot busted flying drunk

I just read at the end of the article..... This article has been revised to reflect the following correction: CORRECTION: January 6, 2012 An aircraft flying over sparsely populated areas may not fly within 500 feet of a person, vehicle or structure. A story published on January 5, 2012 misstated thi...
