Re: Airventure Oshkosh Meetup

I am open to the meetup being at the campsite or the restaurant on Sunday evening. If it is at the campsite, I will try to bring some adult beverages.

Re: Airventure Oshkosh Meetup

Thanks to everyone for planning these meetups. I look forward to seeing everyone at OSH. Regarding the Sunday night EAA974 meetup, can I simply stroll onto the OSH grounds...or do I need a ticket or something? I am not camping this year...staying in a hotel. By the way, I am the guy with the Sting S...

Re: Central New England Drive/Fly In Lunch Meetup

I really enjoyed meeting everyone at the meetup. Also special thanks to Jack for coming down. My trip back to KPOU in the Sting wasn't all that fun...there was some heavy rain. I managed to skirt most of it, but ended up in some near Dutchess County. Those of you who drove instead of flying made a g...

Re: Central New England Drive/Fly In Lunch Meetup

How is June 27 looking for everyone (BAF)?

If it is a go, I will fly my new Sting S3 (LSA) there....just got it.

Weather so far is looking good, but it is a little early to tell for sure.

Hi Guys,

I could make it to a June 27 meetup at BAF. It would be a pleasure.

Re: Sport Pilot - Not So Much

One resource for people looking for training or rental in LSAs is Dan Johnson's FIRM list. See

Dan is Mr. LSA. He is the spokesman for the entire movement. He has a very informative website.

Eclipse 500 with Handheld GPS

Hi Everyone:

This is an interesting video of a test flight of an Eclipse 500. However, it is shocking to see them using a Garmin 496 on a bean-bag mount. That is nuts!

DC-3 on floats!

I had an interesting aviation-related encounter this last week. I was vacationing in the Moosehead Lake region of Maine and happened upon the Greenville Airport (3B1). Much to my surprise, I found a DC-3 there sitting in the weeds. Very cool! I looked up the registration number for this airplane (N1...
