Whould you buy this plane? PA-28-140D

I'm a PPL looking at a 1/2 share of a high time 1971 Piper Cherokee 140D. I am familiar somewhat with the aircraft and hear good things about it but am having trouble sorting out the "value". Asking price right now for 1/2 share is 10,000 CDN (It's a canadian plane). The aircraft has 11,58...

Re: Episode #114

Hey now Jack, It's not like anyone is going to literally die around here. Just maybe that lost episode may remain permanently lost... ;) Funny thing how words are. I never realized how strongly some cultures believed in numerology until these past couple of years. I had to wait almost 2 years from t...

Re: Episode #114

You are all definately onto something with the number 4. I am recently married to a Chinese girl and needed to learn this all firsthand. In Chinese it is considered an unlucky or "bad" number. Mainly because it is a homonym for "death". The opposite would be the number 8 which is...

Re: MyTransponder Social Site for Pilots

Thanks Rod, I did jump the gun in my former comment and would like to retract it as I was able to get signed in after requesting an invite. It was in fact, quite easy.

You have a great looking site. I look forward to seeing it flourish!

Re: UCAP Tip Jar

I sent in a tip early on, you don't HAVE to be a paypal suibscriber to send funds. You can do so as a one shot deal.

I know some people believe that paypal=evil but it does facilitate a simple means of commerce on the internet.

Keep making the great shows guys and we'll keep tipping ;)

Re: Online aircraft scheduling recommendations

We have a lot of luck with these guys http://www.genavsystems.com/ here in Canada. it is a decent system but I'm not sure if they have an americanized version?

Many local schools use this all the time.

Re: Technical Pitot Question/Assumption.

From a fellow Canadian flyer the way I learned the pitot tube was that it doesn't really get much in the way of "air motion" inside (which is why we never blow into one) it's more of a ram air pressure measuring device. Since air doesn't readily flow thru it, water can naturally block it u...

ICON A5

Ok now THIS is pretty darn cool! http://www.iconaircraft.com/ Saw it on AOPA's site and checked it out. what a sweet looking plane. I'm, scared to think of the wings folding but am loving the whole "boat trailer" concept! Let's see here, Amphib t/o or land in 750'. Has party platform "...
