Re: Meetup at Sun n' Fun 2018

We don't do a single meetup at SnF cause the whole week is sorta one long meetup -- (The Oldest Established-Permanent Floating Meetup). Pilot Bill,

I went to the Pensacola Museum many years ago. Yes, it is terrific.

I went on the occasion of the Annual Blue Angels "Homecoming" show there. Also terrific.

Art,

I'd love to be able to wander one of these restoration hangars. Cool stuff. And your project plane sounds great.

Thanks.

Re: UCAP443 - Domestic Dispute Landing

Brian, aka cozy171bh, Thanks for sharing your perspective on this. Your post has gotten me to thinking about how to explain my feelings on this better. But it's a complicated subject, and I want some time to organize my thoughts. But I do want to say a couple of things right away. First, and maybe m...

Re: UCAP #442 - Bushing Migration

So what's up with the statements about 'regrouping our podcast creative breaths' and 'organizing some stuff to take UCAP forward'? That sounds like there is a major change coming to UCAP. Is the podcast reaching the end of its allotted life? No one should panic. It's just me wanting a breather. As ...

That's pretty fascinating. Especially the challenge to the controller in untangling the mess, and his professionalism!

Re: ADS B (Pressure altitude vs. geometric)

I concur with airportdude that GPS is not terribly accurate in height.

I've always speculated that this is due to the complex algorithm of calculating elevation above an irregular shaped sphere.
