Landed once after an ice storm in Nebraska on a sheet of clear ice - just like the Alton Bay thing over the top of an asphalt runway. Was a crystal clear morning, no wind, and was in a Swift, a taildragger without a steerable tailwheel. I didn't notice anything different until I got down and slow. T...

If you're after chow in Denver, also try:

- Greeley - KGXY - the classic $100 Hamburger about 50 KM N of Denver
- Longmont - KLMO - new "food cart" present on nice weekend mornings serving a good breakfast burrito etc and lots of hot coffee.
