Re: Listener question - 'the little things'

I absolutely agree, starting a Cirrus's engine hot is pretty much one of the more difficult things to do. I fly at Purdue University and we use a fleet of SR-20-G/GTS and these planes fly constantly all day. I have the first flight slot of the day at 7:30AM so I am blessed to have a cold engine to w...

Plane hits car on short final

This video I believe just surfaced today. Unreal. The person behind the camera catches the crash, but then no good footage after that because they were rushing to aid the pilot and driver.

Keep with it! I started lessons at 12, and flew on and off just to get experience with the plane till i was like 15, and then buckled down and soloed on my 16 birthday which is cool because that is the youngest age allowed by the FAA for solo. Hey Guys, I've been gone off the forums for a while now but since I've been gone I got my Private Pilot's License last month and now am an aviation student at Purdue University! Many stories to come about the operations of a collegiate flight program!

Re: Switching tanks

Spoke with my instructor about the subject matter on Tuesday. He said in the Warrior I fly, it is required every 30 minutes to switch tanks due to the fact that the Pipers for the most part do not have a BOTH selector. I think that really switching tanks: depends on your airplane...... you should ne...
