Re: #OSH13

Scofreyjet, Let's use some round numbers for the 3 items you mentioned for a 10 day event - airfare - $1,000 hotel - $1,500 ($150/day) food - $500 ($50 / day) I've not been to AirVenture, but I have to believe $3000 a person is well within reason. That is $261,000 total. The EAA is taking a beating ...

Re: Ep. #311 - ADS-B without the ADS-B Out

Good spin Jack. None of us that listen to the podcast would ever have guessed that the 3 of you have disdain for Republicans, conservative people or watchers of Fox News.

Suggestion - Add your true feelings to the disclaimer and be done with it. I'll still listen.

Re: 172 Lands On A Car

Looks like DHS prevented a near catastrophe: http://www.ssa.org/files/member/DHS%20letter%20SC%20pilot.pdf

I shudder to think how much damage an 800 pound sailplane, with no fuel, would have done to that nuclear plant in the hands of a deviant.

Re: Legs or Ankles

Both of the aircraft I fly are rudder needy, an ASW20C sailplane and a Cessna 170. The 20 has a very reclined seating position and lifting heels would be awkward and uncomfortable. The 170 is completely different. For landing, heels up but only toes on the pedals. The rudder on the 170 is so large t...
