Re: #OSH13

I missed OSH for the first time in quite a while last year, so am really looking forward to OSH13. I'll be arriving on Tuesday afternoon and leaving Saturday morning, so will miss the UCAP podcasts but not the meet up. See you all there!

Episode #270 alpha

Interesting discussion of the demographics of Sport Pilots and LSA buyers. I'm interested because being even older than Dave ;) , I might have problems with my medical one of these years. I don't personally know any buyers of new LSAs, but I do know a fair number of folks who have built or are build...

Re: Episode #266 Three Touch 'n Goes

If accurate, this really calls into question the Airbus control logic -- when one crew member can "override" the other without tactile feedback, there's an accident waiting to happen.

Episode #276 "Frozen Frost"

Ok, guys -- I agree that the 787 is much more attractive than the A380, but which one of you (Jeb or Dave) nominated the De Havilland Dove (DH-104) as a good looking airplane should have eyesight and / or sensibilities checked ;) . It's both ugly and a pretty bad example of a "commuter" ai...

Re: Episode #264 "Bravo Honkin' Bravo"

Thanks for all the work you do on the show notes, Jeff - many of us really do read them! It's frustrating to listen to the UCAP gang talk about a cool video that I can't see while I'm driving / listening -- at least with the show notes we can chuckle later.

Airspace

The UCAP gang talked about mods to the DC-area SFRA -- I'd be interested in their comments on the airspace around PHX with respect to the tragic Twin Commander crash into the Superstition Mountains east of PHX on Nov. 18. The floor of the Class Bravo (after an FAA modification for commercial air tra...

Knowledge Test Changes

Don't think I've heard the UCAP team talk about this: http://www.aopa.org/advocacy/articles/2011/110421industry_faa_seek_fix_for_knowledge_tests.html Looks like another case of the FAA having absolutely no clue what happens outside of their offices. AFAIK, the changes haven't (yet) affected the PPL ...
