Re: Is "selfishness" part of the problem?

I think it comes down to the mission. But I also believe that those who are starting out on getting their certificate do not know their mission. All they know is that they want to fly and bring up passengers. Maybe the family or friends. So they immediately think that they need to fly a 4-seater. I ...

Re: LSA Rentals

William I fly a SportCruiser, now known as the PiperSport on Long Island. LSAs are indeed excellent airplanes. I have time in Tecnam Eaglet, Tecnam Sierra and the SportCruiser. They all start with the turn of the key. I believe this is the characteristic of the outstanding Rotax engine. The Rotax is...

Re: Checked Out in the SportCruiser AKA Piper Sport

You hit the nail on the head why I fly an LSA. It fits my current mission. I fly short to medium trips either by myself or with one other person. So a 2 seater is perfect. Add to that it is $70/hr cheaper than the DA40 I learned in while burning 5 gal/hr while cruising at 115 kts it is a no brainer....

Re: Checked Out in the SportCruiser AKA Piper Sport

I believe this is a huge win for Piper. They are coming to the LSA marker well before Cessna. With all the buzz surrounding the PiperSport there might be so many already on the line that Cessna will have a lot of catching up to do. Piper might just corner the trainer market with this move.

Dave

It has night lighting; strobes, landing and nav. I do not believe it is certified for IFR.

Checked Out in the SportCruiser AKA Piper Sport

I was checked out in the SportCruiser on March 28. This is the plane that Piper is distributing as the PiperSport. It is a sleek and sexy airplane and a lot of fun to fly. It has a Garmin SL40, GTX 320 TXP, PS 3000, Garmin 496, Dual Dynons D100 EFIS and D120 EMS TruTrak AP with alt hold. As well a B...

Droid Apps

I am looking to change cell phone plans and would love to get an iPhone but I don't hear very good things about AT&T coverage. So I am considering going to Verizon and wait for the iPhone to come. Unfortunately, it looks like it will not be on Verizon until 2011. So my question is, are there any...

Bought My Airline Tix to Oskosh 2010

I pulled the trigger and booked my airline tix for myself and my 2 sons to Oshkosh..... I AM PSYCHED!!!!!! :D :D :D One ironic note, reading the Terms and Conditions for the Travel Insurance I noticed the following exclusion: no coverage is provided for any loss arising directly or indirectly out of...
