AOPA Summit 2012, Palm Springs

Anyone heading to the AOPA Summit this year in Palm Springs?

I hope to get there for a couple of days. Haven't decided if I am flying or driving from Phoenix. Hope to see some of you there.

Re: I did it...............

Thanks for all the kind words. This is my fifth weekend with my license. Yesterday I flew a couple of circuits with my 9 year old son. Today, I flew with a Student Pilot (both share the same CFI) through the Phoenix Bravo airspace up to Deer Valley (KDVT) for breakfast. I am certainly having a ball!...

I did it...............

12 years ago I climbed into a C172 in Ireland to start my flight training. After 100 JAA/FAA hours and 3 countries, I finally achieved my dream of becoming a Private Pilot. Passed my FAA checkride here in Arizona. Thanks to the UCAP gang for providing endless hours of audio. Helped me through the da...

Young Eagles Stella Airpark, AZ

I arrived in Phoenix from the UK on a work assignment a couple of weeks ago. By chance, I logged onto a website of a local airport in the Chandler area. Turns out, Stella Airpark (SLJ) was hosting a EAA Young Eagles morning. I spoke to my 9 year old and he asked to be signed up. On Saturday 3rd Dece...

Worlds Longest 0 time --> Solo

Hi UCAP Well I finally did it. At 1700z today on the 20th September I went solo in a C172 in Ireland. It's been a long road. I started my flying training in Ireland back in 2000. Work, family, money. The usual. Stopped and started. Almost went solo in 2007, but work moved me back to the U.K. Flying ...
