Re: This has to be the off-field landing of the month, at least.

I wonder if the UCAP team could get Chesley B. “Sully” Sullenberger III -- the pilot -- on the podcast for a telephone interview? It would be great to have a pilot talk to pilots -- especially about what considerations he had in his mind in choosing to go into the water instead of Teterboro (recomm...

Plug in 15:25 15th January into the airport number. It's gives a reasonable impression of how quickly is started going wrong.

1980's Aviation Games

The forum has talked about movies from the past, but what aviation 'games' were you playing back in the 1980's during the birth of the home computer? (okay I am talking ZX Spectrum and C64). I spent most of my time on the following; Kennedy Approach http://www.lemon64.com/?mainurl=http%3A//www.lemon...

Re: SF Bay Area Meetup

I am heading to SFO in February on business for a week (okay we call it a jolly).

Can anyone recommend a good FBO where I could get a lesson in a 172 or 182?

Re: Episode # 108

ngb, thanks for the info. what's your source on the type of aircraft? The text referred to a "two seat cessna" but the pic was a 182. The press get this kind of thing confused all the time. We were wondering which was which. -- Jack I believe it was a C182 T. Media didn't report it too ac...

Episode # 108

Hello everyone Just some comments on the ON the field landing - It was a C182. The distance between 'where he was when it happened' versus 'where the scrambled aircraft came from' is probably <30nm. He landed at the field where the srambled aircraft took off from. Over in the U.K., Mililtary control...
