Exactly... I figure, win the lotto, buy a PC12, kick a large sum to the RFDS for a type rating and ICUS to an amount that the insurance company will let me fly it! If I went for a corp jet, it'd have to be a Phenom 300, good speed, good range and single pilot! I don't see the point in two kero burne...

BTW for those unaware of our transition layer (and thereby missed the gag halfway through) the Transition Altitude is 10,000ft and the Transition Level is FL110, thus 10,500ft is.... :shock:

Updated questions... there's a lark, the ATPL exams here are quite dated too. The systems exam is based on the 767 which is a dying breed here and the performance and loading and flight planning exams are based on the 727-200... of which a grand total of ZERO are now operated here! I maintain that there should be a rule somewhere that you should hold a minimum of a PPL to be an 'Aviation' reporter. At least that way the reporting would have some clue.
