Re: BIG GUYS REJOICE!!!!!(or at least take note....)

Check out the BRM Aero Bristell. Fast, sleek LSA with a high usefull load. The inside cabin width is wider than any Cirrus aircraft built, so there is plenty of room.

Re: Uncontrolled Airspace Episode #301 "Snarge"

I'm not too sure ATC would announce the current location of Air Force 1. If they did, you would be able to determine its location very easily by listening to LiveATC and then using FlightAware, figure out a rough estimate of its location by the reports from other A/C in the vicinity. But thats just ...

Re: headsets

I'm still sticking with my original headset. My dad bought me a Sigtronics S-40 about 13 years ago for my birthday and its still going strong. Now, Up untill about 2 years ago, it just sat and was a closet ornament for about 10 years, but that shows the test of durability, too. They are very cheap, ...

I assume you're talking about Oshkosh in 2013?

I think that would be a neat idea.

"Almost" mid-air collision

Sounds like another case of the media dramatizing aviation stories. The reporter said that the 3 planes were a mere 12 seconds from a mid air collision at DCA. http://gma.yahoo.com/3-us-airways-commuter-jets-avoid-last-second-074048482--abc-news-topstories.html Doesn't sound like a big deal to me. I...

Flight Deck at KWWD

Flew into Cape May Co. Airport KWWD Sunday with a friend and had lunch at the Flight Deck Diner. Its a nice little diner right on the field that is easily accessible from the ramp. Airport Advisory did a great job of giving us directions to it and where to park. The inside is nice. Theres a nice vie...

Re: Aviation Apps exclusive to Ipad?

My dad has ForeFlight for his iPad and absolutely loves it. I'm not sure if those apps are exclusively for iPads. Usually they are made to adapt for different platforms, as foreflight is with Apple and Android.

Best so far

Even though my flying career is just underway, just 8.4 hours, I already have a great logbook memory. Today I completed my first solo. I made 3 landings to a full stop and taxied back. Weather was perfect, and I was the only aircraft in the pattern (at KLNS) after the airport had been busy all day. ...

Just an update...

Today I completed my first solo. Went up with my instructor for 3 touch and go's and then was turned loose for 3 takeoffs/landings to a full stop and taxi back. I have the cut shirt to prove the solo!! :)
