Re: Accelerated Programs, yay or nay?

So Hunter...
It's been many months now, and I believe you have your PPL. There will likely be other folks reading this at a later time with the same question you had.
Which method did you choose and what was your opinion of it?

Re: Episde #148: "You're not from around here"

I need to do some research. With all respect to the listener who told us the "open the door and throw in the suits" story, I'm still not convinced. I think that that was the procedure, but only after a couple of flights. I really think the first moon crew(s) had to stay in the module unti...

Re: Taxi Practice: Just not my day...

Hunter, I feel your pain brother! About four weeks ago I had a similar event... wake up weather's nice, but the usual afternoon TS's predicted. Set up the plane for 9:30 am, made it to the school on time, checked the weather at our planning desk and... little tiny storm cells we just "appearing...

Can GA change a life?

(Long story, sorry. But I have to share it.) A friend once spoke a phrase to me that I hold in my mind nearly every time I take the plane out: "Never fly an empty seat around." What he meant was to take the opportunity, when possible, to share my interest with others. Mostly, I do this and...

Re: Polk county area meetup? thats Central FL

Me too! (except, being the lowly pauper I am, I'm at the mercy of my FBO's rental plane being available. It usually isn't too much of a problem.) :D Where did you have in mind? Is ZPH central enough? Great airport, restaurant on site, Cheap gas, plus Skydive and glider OPs make for some visual inter...
