FAA Tells Chronic Complainers: Get Lost!

I thought that something that recently happened at my home airport would be of interest to the UCAP community, and I'd like their thoughts on the matter. In short, due to non-stop false complaints about Valkaria Airport (X59) in Florida by a small band of people (whose life mission seems to be to ki...

Re: JCM Farms whining about the negative press

They'll get theirs, I'm sure. It's just sad that JCM has worked so hard to destroy some good people on the way to their own demise.

Re: TSA has elderly woman remove adult diaper

The TSA goons searched the lady's diapers in a futile search for better supervisors.

JCM Farms whining about the negative press

Seems that the scumbags who are suing all the balloonists in California for flying their balloons near their farm are now crying foul because every voice on earth seems to have turned against them and they feel like they've been "vilified"!!! To misquote someone else of the JC Farms ilk, &...

Weird OFLotW: Blackhawk 2, Paragliders 0

Here's a really weird OFLOTW... I *think* by "parasail" they really meant a powered parachute (the variety where a guy has a small motor and prop strapped to his back and hangs under a paracute-like wing). These aircraft are occasionally seen operating from the beaches in this area. MH-60 ...

Re: Episode 211 The kid who stole the airplanes!

Hehe, not to worry... face it, the story IS pretty funny, especially the way the media spun it into some big mystery! I'm sure Ken wouldn't be offended with anything you guys said. I have a rule of thumb about everything involving aviation (or other recreational activities)... if you're not having f...

Re: Episode 211 The kid who stole the airplanes!

Re: the "unpiloted" crash in Central Florida... the guy involved (Ken) is a friend of mine, I talked to him this morning about the incident (and of course pointed him to UCAP :) Here's the scoop... a Mooney got into an incident and the insurance company totalled it. The owner bought his pl...

Re: Paragliders in the way of Forest Fire operations

Scary, if true, but it doesn't seem overly surprising, nor should we assume that the paragliders were even being irresponsible here. Paragliders are ultralights, and as such, it would be logical to think that they are less likely to get an FAA briefing before doing their thing. Or they may have done...

Re: Bad aviation reporting at USA Today

There are no coincidences in this stuff, I think... given the over-the-top manner in which they go way out of their way to print lies about GA and support the ATA's party line, someone is heavily pushing the anti-GA angle. Reporters and editors don't have any reason to get that worked up over such s...
