Actually - it's funny you mentioned that phrase "remember your training and fly the airplane". That phrase went through my mind a few times today.

I forgot that I've heard that every week from the UCAP podcast... perhaps I should thank them too for drilling that mantra into me. ;-)

Except timed turns are with a turn coordinator - which failed as well... so that means doing the 10% + 7 on the back up attitude - a lot harder in turbulent IMC.

You just can't buy training like that! ;-)
