Thanksgiving

Postby champguy » Thu Nov 25, 2010 3:03 pm

Much to be thankful for today, the sun finally came out and the Florence Municipal dried out from many days of wind, rain and three inches of snow. So took a morning flight and a few pics to let folks know that somewnere, someone is having a great day.

I like the bar-clock version of a tachometer that you have. (needle turns counter-clockwise)

That Tack feels so natural I never thought about the direction. The whole panel is so simple it is too easy to just jump in, make it loud, and go flying. At BFR time a couple of years back, she caught me skipping steps amd made me post my check list, all of it. When you realize that that list slows me down you begin to get what Champ Flying is all about. Low and slow includes a big dollip of simple fun.

Agreed, nice pics. And what a pleasant way to start out Thanksgiving Day.

Say again, please, what town and airport that is. Looks like a great location.

Hi Jack (can I say that?)
I'm based in Florence (6s2) on the Oregon Coast. It is about an hour drive to Eugene, home of the U. of O., two shopping malls, a number of good restaurants, and a modern multiplex. What more could you ask? Florence is small enouth so we know who is on the City Council, and how they will vote.
