Three years of flying my RV-9A

I've been flying my Van's RV-9A now for three years. It now has 384 hours. Just got it back from finally getting a paint job. Terribly expensive, but totally worth it. Now I can really call it "DONE". :D

So I have a couple of blog posts now online about the painting work, reassembly and my third annual condition inspection.
It is so nice to be the "manufacturer" of an Experimental and be able to have the Repairman certificate and do your own maintenance. It is a lot of work, but I know it is going to be done correctly, and not hurried.

I'm hoping to be at Oshkosh again this year. Maybe the paint job will get it noticed. And maybe this year Jack will be at the UCAP party?

Interesting blogs! Good thing you did the annual so soon after painting and found that masking paper.

Love the paint job -- Are you going to call it Purple Passion? ;)

That is a sweet looking airplane Bruce! Nice scheme choice. Plus, it probably goes faster now, right? ;-)

Over 4 years now, and on 8/19/18 (National Aviation Day - Orville Wright's birthday) I clicked over 600 hours on her.
