Welcome fellow aviation podcasters

Postby jackhodgson » Mon Feb 11, 2008 3:04 pm

BTW, FWIW, I've invited all fellow Aviation Podcasters to get involved here, and to include info about their shows in their SIGs. The more the merrier.

Jack, PilotWill,

I am the owner of Hilton Software. We develop WingX which is aviation software that runs on Windows Mobile devices such as the Motorola Q, AT&T Tilt etc - check it out at http://www.hiltonsoftware.com. We recently signed an 'alliance agreement' with Jeppesen and announced "Jeppesen Mobile" at Sun-n-Fun - http://jeppesen.com/mobile.

My question is: One of the features of WingX is to be able to download and listen to podcasts. I'd like to get permission from you to include your podcasts in our available podcasts.

Please email me at <my first name>@hiltonsoftware.com

Thanks,

Hilton

Hilton,

Send me email about this so we can talk. podcast@uncontrolledairspace.com

PS. If I don't hear from you within a few days, I'll probably be deleting this post as SPAM. ... If some UCAP listener, not affiliated with the company, wants to eval this thing and post here about it, feel free. That I wouldn't delete.

Jack,

I sent you an email - please let me know if you received it and if you will allow us to get your podcasts on mobile devices. There are numerous reviews of WingX on the web and in print mags - here is one:

Thanks,

Hilton

Hilton -- Don't be put off if you haven't yet heard from Jack; he's been hunkered down working out of town for the past couple of weeks and we've barely heard from him ourselves...

FWIW...

Hi
I produce the Flying Podcast over here in the UK.
I chat with fellow aviation enthusiasts and cover all sorts of subjects.
I've spoken to flight instructors, museums, folks that have made interesting flights and anyone else that I can pin down for half an hour or so.
The guys at UCAP, Will Hawkins, Pilotcast etc all inspired me to try your recipe with a British twist.
Keep up the good work over there.
Steve

Hey There,

Thanks for the opportunity to chime in with our little podcast:

Plane Crazy Down Under http://www.planecrazydownunder.com

Steve Visscher (svmelb on these forums) and I have been putting episodes out *almost* weekly (almost :) for the past 3 or 4 months and we've got some more fun episodes coming up.

Major thanks to Jack for including us in a couple of Shout Outs. I've listened to every episode of UCAP (joined around episode 60 or so and went back to listen to the lot from the start :) and it means a lot to get a mention on your show. Fingers crossed we can all meet up at Oshkosh 2010 although I have no idea how we'll manage it at this stage :)

Cheers,

Grant (Falcon124)

PS. Just wish I had more time to cruise the boards here, MyTransponder and http://www.downwind.com.au (the Australian pilot forum :) )

Thanks for the welcome, Jack. We love UCAP and even making a little fun of UCAP (a sure sign you guys are the best!) on our podcast.

And of course, the awesome source of information on all of the aviation podcasts that they know about...

Like the guys "Down Under", I wish I had more time to hang out here in the forums at UCAP. I'm trying to get here more often!
