Report: Secretive farm sues balloon companies, ending most flights in Coachella Valley

JCM Farming Inc. has sued 14 hot air balloon companies, charging them with violating property rights by flying low over its high-security compound near Jackson Street at Avenue 54.

I am surprised that these people can get away with what they appear to be doing. In addition to chasing off all the GA in the valley they want to put in their own heliport...

Oh that's dirty, dirty stuff....

Makes me want to rent an airplane and take some pictures, you know?

They must have a very happy lawfirm representing them with all the lawsuits they file.

Interesting view from Google Earth. Never knew that there was a right to not have an overflight.

I wonder what the FAA's take on that would be!? Against the Chicago Convention too!

Just what are they 'farming' there?? Persons here who are that secretive about their 'crops' usually gain some covert overflights by law enforcement prior to a raid!

I can understand a farmer not wanting a balloon to come down on a crop, but as long as one is staying within FAA rules...
The whole thing just makes me want to see what they are up to.
