Snowbirding in Florida

Postby mbuto » Wed Dec 24, 2014 7:43 pm

Hey Gang,

I'll be coming down to the Orlando area from Canada in mid-January. I've already done my T-6 aerobatic flight there, so this time I'd like to grab a Skyhawk and an instructor for some US airspace training. Looks like I can start from Orlando Executive or Kissimmee, but any suggestions for an FBO to use? An itinerary for a couple of hours with an instructor on board? Anything interesting at any of the local GA airports like Lakeland, Titusville or Melbourne (or others) that would be open in January?

Thanks,

Mike

Many of us will be gathering at Sebring Airport for a few days on January for the Sport Aviation Expo. If you're nearby check it out. I'm pretty sure they have a rental FBO there. Or you could make that your destination.

Sweet - that is the week I'm in town! I'll try and swing by for the Panel on the Thursday. Any other UCAP happenings?

Given that there is no airshow, what kind of lens would work best? This will change the camera body I bring.

Thanks,

Mike
