News Article on Homebuilds and Safety

Postby AirportDude » Mon Mar 06, 2017 10:05 am

Interesting article from this past weekend (Sunday, 5 March 2017) from the Eagle Tribune in Andover Mass.

Experimental planes becoming safer, officials say

I was listening to one the older UCAP podcasts from 2015 and I remember Dave or Jeb commenting on the general belief that homebuilts are unsafe. I know from all my experience in the past with homebuilts (which admittedly is limited) is that the person building it will be the one flying it, and will go to great lengths to ensure that all steps are in compliance (or beyond) to the safety standard which the design calls for.

Hope this gets some circulation in the general public!
