A Big Thanks to UCAP

Postby rfelty » Tue Jul 14, 2009 9:15 pm

I worked on getting my private pilot's license for just under two years. A lot of things like life and work got in the way, but one of the constants was this podcast. There may be others out there like me so I just wanted to acknowledge how much listening to you guys (and occasionally gals) helped keep my head in the game. When my landings got lost or my steep turns got tired, your enthusiasm for flying kept me going. This past Saturday I got my ticket, ten days after completing my oral ... due to the lousy New England June weather. I'm pretty sure some of that down time was spent listening to you. Better late than never of course, and thanks for the support you probably didn't know you were giving. As usual, looking forward to the next episode.

Sincerely,
Pilot Rick Felty

Congratulations Rick! You demonstrated great patience as the weather did everything it could to take you off your game. Now put down the iPod and get out there and fly!!

WAYTOGO Pilot Rick Felty! You've accomplished something only a tiny fraction of a percent of humanity achieve and you should be proud (and I'm sure relieved to have this phase done...).

That we may have played even a tiny role in your success is a feather in our cap -- but not nearly on the level of what you did yourself.

So congrats on your ticket, thanks for sharing that accomplishment with us and thanks, most of all, for listening...makes this all the more worthwhile!

Dave

Rick:

You took the words right out of my mouth. UCAP has played a large part in my aviation education, motivation and entertainment as I pursue my private pilot certificate. Passed my oral exam last Sunday and will taking my check ride this Saturday. Congratulations on earning your License to Learn!

Propfan,

Congrats on your oral. Now hang in there, the rest is just a matter of time.

That's enough forum posting, get out there and go flying.

Passed my check ride yesterday morning, and it still hasn't really sunk in. Can't begin to tell you how much great information I've picked up listening to UCAP 001 through 142 during the past year. Keep inspiring, informing and entertaining!
