Sprink! Too, too cool!

Congrats...

As for Pink Floyd...man, was still actively soaring hang gliders when that tune hit the airwaves and it still gets blasted on office speakers from time to time...

"Can't keep my mind from the circling skies
Tongue-tied and twisted just an earthbound misfit, I"

Earthbound, no more!

WaytoGo!

Well, I haven't given anyone an update on my flight training so here goes...

As of September 12, 2009, I am now a sport pilot!!!

Took my test yesterday, passed with flying colors (pun intended)! I want to thank everyone on the forums for giving great advice, and always willing to lend a helping hand to a newbie like myself.

This has been something I have always wanted to do, and to accomplish a monumental life-goal like this is a great feeling. Thanks again!

Welcome to our too small fraternity.
You will from time to time have new experiences of the "I didn't know" or "I'll sure never do that again" or heaven forbid the old "please god, bail me out this time and I promise to be better person/pilot".
While these first events are still fresh please share them. Don't be shy.
None of us will long enough, or be foolish enough, to make all possible mistakes or learn all there is to learn. So share.
It is by thinking about flying, and about safety, that we all keep improving our attitude and skills.
Remember, not all who wander, are lost.

WAYTOGO, Sprink!!

Always great to hear of another who got off the sidelines and into the the cockpit, the airspace and, as champguy put it, "our too small fraternity."

Looking forward to seeing more of you here and reading some of your own logbook memories, places to fly, questions, comments and your own advice/observations as you gain ever more experience -- and experiences. ;)

Welcome to the gang!

Dave
