Flight Deck at KWWD

Postby LNSflyer » Tue Oct 25, 2011 9:41 pm

Flew into Cape May Co. Airport KWWD Sunday with a friend and had lunch at the Flight Deck Diner. Its a nice little diner right on the field that is easily accessible from the ramp. Airport Advisory did a great job of giving us directions to it and where to park. The inside is nice. Theres a nice view of the field from the inside. It has a very "home-y" atmosphere to it with everybody seeming to know everybody. I highly recommend this to anybody who's looking for a place to go for a $100 hamburger.

Ditto to all the above. Our local EAA chapter just did a fly-out brunch last weekend (Jan 2015). 6 airplanes and about 15 folks. There is a cool museum right across the ramp from the restaraunt. It is usually closed on weekends, but someone in our group had connections and it was opened just for us to stroll around in. Lots of neat planes: F-14, F-16B, MiG-14, TBM Avenger, Stearman, etc. Great place to fly-in, eat, and see some aviation history.
