I've been having some fun with my new gadget/toy: GoPro3+ I've gotten it mounted on the wing where it has a nice perspective... head height, unobstructed by struts or wheel pants, but still able to capture some of the nose wheel and cowling for perspective. I have a feeling non aviators would prefer none of the plane showing.. but hey! it's my gig! What's really cool is that I can control it from inside the cockpit with my cellphone via a wireless connection. So, start/stop, even switching format and still shots to video capture is possible. Battery life suffers with the wireless turned on, but for a typical flight 1.5 - 2 hours it generally holds a charge.
Anyways, here's a sample of a flight I took the other day.

Portions of flight that involved take-off and landing are at actual speed, and the lengthy but visually interesting enroute parts were sped up. I'm just really impressed with how detailed the video is from such a small unit. I also used a filter to blur the prop... just less of a distraction.
Hope you enjoy! Jamie
