Can't wait!

UPDATE: I just looked at the driving distance/time to PGD from my home. It's about 3 hours 45 minutes one way, so unless I can hop a ride on an airplane, I may not travel that far, especially with SnF coming up so fast. I'll have to give that more thought...

Where in FL?

What about ZPH?

Has anyone thought about meeting at the benefit airshow in jacksonville, at cecil field? My wife and i will be at the show helping out as we are friends of allen and the aeroshell team. I cant think of a better place or anywhere else we will be able to see such great performers, and maybe i can introduce part of the ucap gang to some of our friends on the flight line. Well if i dont see you at the meetup, ill see you at sun n fun. Safe flying TONY

Hey guys, I rent out of Bartow so I'm smack dab in the middle of the state. So I'm good with anywhere around here, VNC is only like a 30 minute flight in the 172. If it's in jax idk if I'll be able to go unless I can catch a ride.

I'm only 17 so if it's an adult beverage deal like the northern meetups then I won't go, I don't wanna be a buzzkill for you "older" gentleman. ;)

I could probably make ZPH by car. I am in Melbourne (KMLB) right on the east coast. I didn't see that ZPH has an eating establishment on the field, so unless you have local knowledge, we'd probably need to arrange an "off-field landing" for the actual meet-up. I'm also perfectly happy with VNC.

Are we still planning on doing this on April 18th or 19th? If so, time is running short. Let's do this!

Okay. It's looking like VNC works for most of us, and probably has the better eating establishment. So, unless someone has strenuous objections (like there's some major cultural event of which I'm not aware posing a gnaw-off-your-arm conflict), I propose:

Airport: VNC
Day: Saturday, April 18, 2009
Time: 1300 (1 pm) local
Location: Honoluana Island Grill <http://honoluana.com/>

Comments/suggestions/rebuttals? Let's hear 'em!

I should add: If you let me know you're coming, *really* coming, I'll call ahead and get us a decent table in a corner somewhere. I'll be planning lunch (Dutch, I'm afraid...) and, presuming I don't fly in, a couple of beers.

Looking forward!

Looks like Amy will be able to make it, also. Not a lock, but promising...

The meetup is Saturday, so you can do both!
