UCAP Rallying for and evangalizing for GA since 2006…

Received an interesting “pitch” from our favorite airplane-owning and piloting amalgamation today, pointing out how its top pilot wants us all to Rally GA throughout 2011…

Good to see them catching up with UCAP.

Aside from the product pitches (anti-identity theft products, etc., ad nauseum…) the topic sort of irritated me; first, thought that was part-and-parcel to the outfit’s on-going mission, going all the way back to May 15, 1939…

Second, and in case they haven’t noticed, that’s something all of you, plus Jeb, Jack, Amy, James, Jamie, Dave S, me and others have been passionately doing since August 2006…

So, if they”d like to help out, maybe that top pilot would consider accepting our invitation to joint “the voices in our head” and spend as much time as he’d like talking to a few thousand aviators…not everybody carries a card issued in Frederick, Md., but all of us here carry that evangelizing feeling — and we do it already.

So come on down and join in…and for the rest of us, well, we’ll keep on keeping on for GA…

Exactly right, Dave. And I too wish AOPA would stop pitching all that crap, especially the bogus identity protection (which last year was hit with an $11M fine from the FTC for deceptive claims).
