AirVenture Field Conditions Looking Awesome

This report today from Garrett Nievin, who is an airplane parking volunteer already onsite at OSH. He posted this to the DC Pilots email list:

Things are going great up here in Oshkosh. It turned hot and humid this afternoon, and the forecast is that it’s going to stay that way until the end of time.

The ground is delightfully dry, the grass is a nice tan/green mix, and all the grass taxiways and parking rows and banner fences have been surveyed and put in. We’re pretty ready to take airplanes.

Cheers, Garrett

Very nice!

  1. Can I count on the UCAP crew to get the thermostat turned down just a tad by Sunday afternoon? That would be terrific. And if the campgrounds could be fitted with a massive Sealy Posturpedic pillow-top installation that will make my evenings more delightful and comfy than I ever could have imagined – that would be great, too.
