I’m going to go way out on a limb and guess that this is one Cessna that will not see restoration or refurbishment any time soon.
The ditching itself went well, although that is an experience I hope to never have. Hence, I only fly over water when the aircraft has floats attached. Call me a baby. I can take it.
It’s been said before, but that was a very good landing. Most interesting to me though was the rescue diver trying to cling to the lift then losing their grip at 10 feet up.
One reason could have been fuel transfer. When you install ferry tanks you need a method of transferring all that fuel from the huge tanks you just strapped into the passenger seat.
