AOPA Aviation Summit 2011

Well, here I am in Hartford Connecticut for AOPA Summit.  I got here in time to register tonight, so I don’t have to deal with that in the morning.  I took a walk around the Convention Center, and found this interesting prop out front:

Cirrus Vision Jet mockup at AOPA Summit

Pretty cool, although I’d rather see one that flew in!

There seemed to be a couple of early seminars going on – a Flight Training Summit for one.  Not sure how people were made aware of that one, unless it was advertised only to CFIs.  There was also an AOPA Legal Plan session.  Still, relatively quiet around the conventon center except for all the exhibitors trying to get their stuff set up and all of the folks picking up their registrations.

Should be a different story tomorrow though.  I’ve still got to figure out what sessions I’ll attend, but my meals are planned out!  I’ll be attending the AOPA PAC (Political Action Committee) luncheon tomorrow, and tomorrow night I’ll be at the Night for Flight charity dinner and auction.  I’ll fill you in on that tomorrow night (hopefully.)

Now to find a place to eat.  Maybe I should check out this place?

Stay tuned…       ~Jeff~

Good stuff Jeff. I’ll be arriving Friday morning. See you there.

(So is this Burnside place a possible for the Friday afternoon meetup?)

  2. Awesome! I used to live on Tolland St. in East Hartford.

Thanks for taking me home again via the Internet.
